ADHD UK Ambassador

Jamie Gordon

I am a community organiser, ADHD advocate, support group facilitator.

Hi, I'm Jamie. I'm an ADHD advocate, community organiser and founder of Reading ADHD Group. I was diagnosed in 2020. It took three months from when I spoke to my GP until I was finally diagnosed, and that felt like a lifetime. But the real problems started when I moved down south. I hit the wall so many people know well: long NHS waiting lists, services that don't talk to each other, and a system that isn't built for ADHD. I wrote to my MP, made formal complaints, and started a peer support group so people had somewhere to go while they waited.

Today, I'm a Lived Experience Consultant for Thames Valley ICB, bringing the voices of people with ADHD into the rooms where decisions about their care are made. Alongside that, I campaign for change in how ADHD services are commissioned and delivered.

I'm an ADHD UK Ambassador and proudly part of the ADHD UK podcast team, where I aim to cover the topics that often go unnoticed. I also speak up publicly when ADHD is misrepresented in the media.
