ADHD UK Ambassadors
Become an ADHD UK Ambassador
Our Ambassadors want to change what it means to have ADHD in the UK. Some have particular skills, or influence in an organisation or group. Many are simply people affected by ADHD. You do not need a large following or a senior job to apply.
What Ambassadors do
Share, speak up and raise funds
Share your story
You get your own page on this website. Your story helps other people see they are not alone.
Raise awareness
Talk about ADHD where you live, work or study, and help change attitudes to ADHD.
Speak to the media
Choose to hear when national and local journalists ask us for someone to talk about ADHD. You decide which requests to say yes to.
Raise funds
ADHD UK receives no government funding. Funds raised by Ambassadors pay for our work.
There is a lot to do across our five areas of work: support, information, research, awareness and advocacy.
Two ways to join
Adults and Junior Ambassadors
ADHD UK Ambassadors
You apply for yourself.
We ask Ambassadors to raise at least £500 every 12 months. You can fundraise, for example with a sponsored event or a fundraising page, or donate the amount yourself instead, monthly or once a year.
Your Ambassador page can show your story, your photo and links to your work.
Fundraising ideasJunior ADHD UK Ambassadors
A parent or guardian applies, using their own ADHD UK account. They are our only contact: we never contact the young person directly.
Junior Ambassadors are not asked to fundraise.
Their page shows their first name only, with no surname, photo or links, until they turn 18.
Media requests about a Junior Ambassador go only to their parent or guardian, and we ask them each time.
How to apply
Make an account, then apply
Create your ADHD UK account, or sign in if you have one. It is the same account for every ADHD UK website.
Fill in the form. It is the same form for adults and for parents or guardians applying for a young person. Your answers are kept on your device until you send them.
Send your application. We email you to confirm we have it. Our Ambassador team reads it and contacts you by email about the next step.
Ready to apply?
The form starts by asking you to create your ADHD UK account or sign in. Then it brings you back to your application.
