EJ Sharkey

ADHD UK AmbassadorEJ Sharkey

As a Neurodiversity Specialist with HM Prison Service, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my work. Being neurodivergent myself diagnosed with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder I understand first hand the challenges and strengths that come with neurodivergence.

In my role, I advocate for neurodivergent individuals within the criminal justice system, developing tailored strategies to support their wellbeing, enhance understanding, and promote inclusion. Alongside this, I am a qualified ADHD coach, working to empower individuals to harness their strengths, build confidence, and navigate the world in ways that work for them.

I also speak at events and conferences focused on neurodiversity, using my voice and story to raise awareness, challenge stigma, and encourage open, informed conversations about what it means to be neurodivergent.

Becoming an ADHD UK Ambassador is a natural extension of my passion and commitment. I believe in the power of community, education, and advocacy to create meaningful change. By sharing my journey and championing neurodiverse voices, I hope to contribute to a future where ADHD is better understood, more widely accepted, and celebrated for the unique strengths it brings.
