ADHD UK Ambassador

Danielle Harris

Business, Life & ADHD Coach | Entrepreneur | Late diagnosed ADHD & Dyslexia at 49

Hi, I’m Danielle. I’m a Business, Life and ADHD Coach, entrepreneur, and someone who genuinely believes that understanding yourself can change your life.

I’ve spent more than 30 years leading people, building businesses and navigating some incredibly demanding environments. I built and led a business that generated over £30 million in turnover, while raising my family, and during my earlier career I became the only civilian to receive a formal commendation from the Chief Police Commissioner for compassion, cooperation and leadership during the 7/7 London bombings. Yet the achievement I am proudest of has nothing to do with business. It is raising my two daughters and supporting them to become confident, resilient young women, while encouraging them to follow their own ambitions.

At 49, I was diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia, and suddenly so much of my life made sense. I began to understand why I had always worked so hard, why I needed systems and structure, and why my brain could be both my greatest challenge and one of my greatest strengths. The fast thinking, energy, determination, creativity and ability to see the bigger picture that had sometimes felt exhausting were also qualities that had helped me achieve so much. That understanding changed not what I thought I was capable of, but how I understood myself.

Today, I use that experience alongside my business and coaching background to help people understand how their brain works, recognise their strengths and find practical ways to make life feel less overwhelming. For me, coaching isn’t about changing who someone is. It is about helping them quieten the noise, find clarity amongst the competing thoughts and demands, and create the structure, confidence and sense of calm that can so often feel out of reach with ADHD. I want my clients to leave feeling lighter, more in control and genuinely excited about what they can achieve.

I’m incredibly proud to become an ADHD UK Ambassador because I want to help change the conversation around ADHD. I want greater understanding of both the challenges and the strengths that come with it, and for people to feel seen and supported rather than judged or misunderstood. Most of all, I want people with ADHD to know that life doesn’t always have to feel quite so hard. With the right understanding, strategies and support, it is possible to turn down the noise, find more peace and clarity, and still have the drive and ambition to create a life that feels successful and fulfilling.
